Perspective and Methodology

This course provides a unique perspective on the psychology and scientific disciplines. The students will be guided to understand the original purpose of science and become aware of the scientific traps.

TEACHING METHODS

The lectures will be delivered through online platforms, such as Zoom for online meetings and Google Classroom for course materials and assignments. Also, there will be interactive discussions and/or group activities in those online sessions.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The course materials will cover the following topics:
  1. The Purpose of Psychology
  2. The Original Science and The Science Delusion
  3. A Theory about Human Soul (The Nafs)
  4. Deconstructing The Conventional Psychology)
  5. Reconstructing Theory of Motivation and Personality
  6. The Three Laws of Human Life
  7. Tazkia Therapy
Total of this whole course is 42 sessions, with 126-hours for the total program.
There will be two sessions in one week, i.e. on Saturday and Sunday.
Additional independent study hours is recommended for students.

COURSE MATERIALS

Students will get video materials and reading materials.

ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION

There will be assignment(s) during the course. And by the end of the semester, students will have examinations, article reviews, and paper assignments.
